Making diffusers, such as these found at Pier 1 Imports, is so simple and so much cheaper than the ones you buy. You'll want to make one for every room in your house!
Materials
- Small bottles or jars (think outside the box, find unique glassware at flea markets or use single serve wine bottles)
- Wooden skewers, like the ones used for cooking
- Essential oils - these can be purchased online at Georgiabodyandbath.com. You only need a few drops per bottle so each essential oil will last quite a while.
- Water
Mix 20 to 30 drops of essential oil per 8 oz of water. Pour the mixture into the jars until it is 3/4 of the way full. Snip off the pointed tip of the wooden skewers and place 5 or 6 in the jar. Refresh the scent by turning the wood upside down.
